Claire Harrison, Creative Director of West9 Design

About me

Hi, I’m Claire Harrison, brand designer for some wonderful businesses with great causes. I set up West9 Design in 2019, with a focus on branding and campaigns. I work mainly from my studio in South West London where I spend my time turning complex concepts into creative, colourful stand-out designs.

A conceptual designer with over 20 years’ experience, I’ve worked in creative roles involving design, art direction, artworking and management, including 15 years at the London School of Economics where I managed the in-house design department.

I’m a problem solver and am passionate about working closely with my clients. A big part of the process of working together is getting to fully understand your business and your audience before coming up with impactful ways to link the two.

I bring energy and solid business understanding to projects and you’ll always find me sharing my thoughts on the wider marketing approach that’s so closely linked with the branding I create.

I love nothing better than seeing first-hand the impact of my brand work – seeing a happy client genuinely elevated by their new branding and watching their confidence and energy rise.

My clients

I create branding for a range of clients. Working with ambitious business owners with a cause and heart behind what they do, as well as academic institutions and charities. I care about creating branding with purpose for businesses that are driving change.

Whether I’m working with a smaller company or a large institution, mutual respect is always at the core of the relationship. The best briefs are where people put their trust in me and give me the space I need for creative freedom.

What I offer

I specialise in branding work, creating impactful visual identities for campaigns and businesses. I’ll take the ideas behind your organisation or project and come up with creative solutions to represent them.

If you have a big project coming up that needs more resourcing, then I can pull together a team to deliver your brief. Take a look at the Type 1 Diabetes Grand Challenge for an idea of how I collaborate with other experts.
